ZOMBADINGS : MOVIE REVIEW
ZOMBADINGS: MOVIE REVIEW

It was September 5th when we had our fieldtrip at the Film Museum.
Afterwards, we went at the Gateway, and watched an Independent film.  A film directed by Jade Castro
entitled Zombadings: Patayin Sa Shokot Si Remington. We are lucky enough to have free tickets provided by our Professor
The Film was about the kid who never stops mocking gays by calling them “Bakla! Bakla!”,
Until he mocked a gay at the cemetery, played by Roderick Paulate; who has a power and
cursed him by saying, “Paglaki mo magiging bakla ka!”.
Years have passed and the curse starting to happen; Martin Escudero, who plays the role of Remington starting to act like a gay in his adolescent stage. It was the effect of the curse that even he’s not a real guy; he’s still acting like one. Remington had a crush on their neighbor, Hannah; played by Lauren Young. Remington has a guy best friend. But things turned out differently; he became in love with his best friend same as he’s also in love with his neighbor Hannah.
Until the news had spread that there’s a killer at their place who kept on killing gays by using a device to detect gays. Remington fears that he might end up to be the next target of the killer played by Daniel Fernando who’s a gay hater.
His best friend Jigs (Kerbie Zamora) and Hannah (Lauren Young) helped him to search for that gay man who cursed him for being a gay. But the gay man doesn’t know how to remove the curse. But the only way to remove the curse is by passing it to other who’s willing to accept it. But Remington can’t find a man who’s willing to accept the curse. Until a boy cast a spell to reintroduce the dead gays that turned into Zombies at the cemetery. The zombies attacked the killer and have their revenge.
The father of Remington (John Regala) saved him by putting his curse to himself and let his son lived normally.
The film shows a prevailing attitude of many toward homosexuals, and I should say that I really enjoyed the movie… a LOT.  I was amazed by the actors for playing their roles perfectly.
